miss stone Yes, but there is a difference between conflict and toxicity. Many times, people use the internet to say things they wouldn't say if you were face to face with them. Kind of like throwing rocks, and then hiding behind a tree. Posters who create endless and unprovoked conflict can make people reluctant to participate. Eventually, somebody will split, get booted, or they just lurk. As in real life, who needs a pious, pissy person, who wants to break your stones? Not me. Jim

Oh, AGREED Jim. Notice that I didn't refer to the toxic posters we DID have for a while. But I mean, intelligent debates on the headshot board, political dicussions and the like. People we could agree AND disagree with in the same day and share points of view with. That is what I am missing. And I really think Robert has a good heart. I know how it is to be misunderstood. Would you believe I too get misunderstood a lot? Noooooo. Never, right?

To be honest, I wasn't referring to any specific person. There's a general air of negativity 'round here. Of course it's always the same few posters. I know it chased a lot of people away. I'm not talking about opinions. More like skeet shooting. It's just not fun. Ready? Pull. BANG! Jim

I agree with Jim totally...open debate can be engageing, even fun...and seems to educate all when a solid viewpoint can be met. The toxicity does bother me. I encounter it sometimes in real life. really nasty people out there sometimes! I try not to be part of it. I've even a couple times almost posted something on this or another board, re-read what I wrote and just didn't post it. Seemed to negative or instigating something. And what chose NOT to say wasn't even a quarter of the condescending tone of what some people say ALL THE TIME!! oh well. haven't noticed it lately. do get tired of the same old same old, but that just reminds me to submit more and be proactive and stop reading boards so much

I haven't been that active either, since its been boring since after RK left. And I have nothing going on with my life to make a thread about, it's been kind of boring here. Saving money. But I have some plans for next year.

This forum needs something, maybe an open chat room. It's lacking drama, and this place was drama when life had none. The good ol days with fat Koeshas (i think that was her name) who post ugly pictures in a green outfit with 5 inch heels. And who talk like dis cuz she ain't spellin aight. And when religion mix with MJ... and people are just arguing for arguing.
