I was in an audition a while back and had to cold read a monologue that began with the line "I know I don't look like a divorcee, I look more like the kid that gets caught in the crossfire..." or something to that effect. The girl also goes on to talk about how when she met her husband there were fireworks and "every day was the fourth of july"... It is making me crazy that I can't remember the name of the play or playwright...I'd really like to find the piece and would appreciate any help... Does this ring any bells for anyone?
Thanks!
