It seems that Hugh Hefner made some handshake deals with numerous studio executives that gives his current and former playmates right of first refusal for some roles over the rest of the actors guild essentially squeezing out the so called average looking actor as the face of hollywood slowly changes.

Presuming this is even true (it's mighty vague), do you really think the average Playmate can handle most of the roles that come up in feature films?

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he'd made some kind of deal for them to get first refusal on a specific type of film. But if he tried to do that with most of the serious directors or production companies in Hollywood, he'd be laughed out of the room.

My understanding is he is trying to make playmates more mainstream so they could take more roles in commercials also and he agreed to some illegal actions to gain them more roles in commercials and films
