I go on an interview for an “entertainment company” long term temp position, fairly good pay. I figured I could use the money and the environment would be what I like.
Well I get there for the interview and it’s a freaking temp agency! I thought I was DONE with that crap. Since I’m already in a suit, I figure I’ll fill out the forms and interview. I waited, filled out forms and then interviewed.
The lady asked to have me tested for my computer knowledge. So I go downstairs to the testing center and there’s a waiting room of people. After 20 minutes I picked up and WALKED. Bailed. Jumped ship without a word.
So two days later I get a call. It’s my interviewer! Oh geeze, I thought, what do I say?
Then I figured the TRUTH was in order.
Me: I’m sorry I just walked out. You were very nice. But they made me wait too long and I just looked around and said to myself, 'I’m so done with all this,' and then walked out. (What I MEANT was done with temp agencies! She thought I meant done with waiting, ahahah.)
SO GET THIS! She offers me a job for a top television network! The pay is MORE than the original job! Can I start tomorrow she wondered? AHAHHAHAHA
I’m on the job right now, as a matter of fact. Nice office, nice work, some famous people around me.
How did I get this job? AHAHAHHA I simply got up and walked out of the office.
Cslivera: The actor who plays the brother on My Name is Earl did just that and landed that role! He said something like No, you already have my audition I'm not coming in again.
Wow Peter -- awesome news!! Funny, wild, true and so very "Peter", heh-heh. Congrats!

They gave him the role!
Ummmmm......are you *sure* Ethan Suplee said that? Isn't that "urban legend"? (I love Ethan -- he's a sweetie!)

Awesome... more material for your stand up routine! Way to go, PB! Only YOU!
You know... One day soon, people will be saying, during crazy events in their lives... "Oh that was sooo Peter Brady!" or "I just had a PB experience!"
