The Player's Directory used to be a must-have for an actor - when everything was in print. Then on-line databases came along. Now Casting now runs it, apparently, and is still trying to monetize it. As to who looks at it, I don't know that anyone but someone in the company, or a few CD's, could actually tell you that. Personally I regard it as a pointless investment these days.

Oh gosh, that covers a range of possibilities, but certainly Actor's Access and LA Casting at a minimum. Even when the Player's Directory was THE source, CD's would only look for people who fit specific roles at a specific moment. Now they have agents or the people themselves submitting directly through all these systems and they can do database searches themselves. Now Casting was also advertising some kind of "On-line workshop" where you did a video that was supposedly viewed by large numbers of said professionals. Forgive me if I'm.... skeptical.
