I'm well aware that with all the craziness going on around the world today that people tend to want to remain anonymous on sites like these. But I was just wondering how many of you guys on here have actually met, or know of each other really well. Because most of us respond to the each other over and over at different times of the day, nights, and weeks. We are also networking on here to not to mention. So has any friendship developed from off this site? If so, with who? (optional)

I, myself, have met quite a few people that were on this board when I first started posting on here back in 2002. The board has crashed 2 or 3 times since then, so most of those old posts are sadly lost, in addition to many of the old posters who have moved on to other boards or just don't post anymore due to lack of time or interest. But, we used to have get togethers on both coasts. I've met several posters at either book signings or get togethers in LA, and I know that others have gotten together in NY. I've actually met some of the NYers, as well. To bad this site wasn't up when I lived in NY for 7 months. That would have been fun, but back then, this site wasn't around yet and I was writing on playbill.com, where I did end up meeting several people who I had been corresponding with for a year before I went to NY and ended up meeting most of them in person. My son even worked with one of them. Small world! This world of the internet is amazing, when I think of all the people I've met from all over the world. I have since made some wonderful friends and even worked with a few. I would list them all, but I'm afraid I might leave someone out.

Sorry to ramble on, but you are so right in saying that we are networking. You just never know who you are going to meet and where it's going to take you. Just be careful, weed out the "trolls" and enjoy the process.

Jackie and I have met, which is cool, since we sometimes share the advice column and now this message board.

Most importantly, we can vouch for each other that we're real people, not robots designed by Backstage to answer questions.

I'm actually a former agent and I post from a tiki bar in Southern Thailand. So no, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting anyone on this site. Maybe one day, the state of California will change a certain law and I'll be able to return to my lovely home in Los Angeles.
