There's nothing like multiple spams on a message board to make a current subscriber consider canceling his/her subscription.(edited)

I've had a ton of success on NowCasting, so I've never actually considered canceling my subscription... but I know what you mean about their Spam. And I know I marked the box on my account for them to NOT send me worthless bulletins.

Where do I find this opt-out box? Must be a pretty one.

I've flagged these things multiple times and they've been removed, but like a monster in a horror flick they keep coming back!!!

Given that Now Casting is, theoretically, a professional organization, can't someone from Backstage just get on the phone to them and say, "Hey, could you please stop spamming our board?"

I have trouble, for instance, imagining a BSW employee going over to the Showfax board and repeatedly posting plugs for the newspaper: "Hey folks, I'm an actor like yourselves, but I just happen to work for Back Stage West, and I'm wondering if you've considered the advantages of a subscription... Cause, we actors have to stick together, y'know?"

I mean, for a company trying to maintain any kind of professional reputation, this kind of tactic is... embarrassing, no?

Not to mention that it looks a little desperate, given that the company's existed for a while. Does anyone know how the company's doing just now?

It occurs to me in fact this could make a very nice BSW article: "Why is Now Casting spamming a message board?". The article could point out that the company has been around for a few years and suddenly is posting blatant plugs to multiple threads on an actor's board. Why? What's going on there?

Clearly, they want publicity. Give them publicity.

If you see spam, please click on the yellow triangle in the lower right corner of every post. That reports spam to me, and I take care of it.

Thanks!
