I hope your friend took them and not a pro. You have a great look, but your mouth looks clenched in the second one, and I personally hate the angle of the first one. They're not the end of the world bad; but maybe in your market they will work.

i agree with the awkward clenched mouth in the second one.

for a starter headshot, the first is decent for submissions in markets outside of NY and LA.

These aren't perfect, but they'll do. Especially in a smaller market. They look very washed out, but you have an appealing look that shines through. A CD would probably tell you to get another batch, but you could start with these if that's not financially possible right away.
