College, Actings auditions, and working to support herself. That's a whole lot... I guess it can be done.

Of course it can be done! One thing to consider is WHERE to go to college so you are in the midst of the place you want to eventually work in. In other words, don't go to school in Minnesota if you want to work in Hollywood. Spend your time in college in the place you want to be after college and you'll be able to use the connections you make, and roots you plant, to your advantage afterwards. Your sister should enjoy college, not rush into a career she may or may not enjoy. At least that's my 2 cents. A college degree doesn't keep you from struggling, and artistry doesn't keep you interested in an acting career--which is a business you must run and manage. I wouldn't give up my college years for the world--not even a series regular role in a hit show! Sometimes not racing to try and get to the top isn't settling, it's living.

quote: My parents want her to go back to college to earn her degree so she isn't struggling? what would you all do in her situation?
Are your parents offering to support her while she does? If so, I think it's a no-brainer. If not, yeah, it'll be more of a struggle. But going to college ultimately does make a difference, and I think if she browse bios of her favorite actors on IMDb she'll see that most of them did.
