Hi guys, Our next FREE actor information event will be held on March 24th at 7:30pm at American Academy of Dramatic Arts. We'll talk with David Colley and Chuck Sloan about actor's finances, taxes, and investing. (Good timing, no!?) Again, it's free and I ain't selling anything! Just trying to help you guys make the most of your time in LA!
I'm working on my questions for the event. Anything you want me to ask a financial planner and tax preparer, both also actors, knowledgeable about performer's tax and money issues...?
I heard these guys speak at the SAG Foundation and they were GREAT. I highly recommend listening to their advice. Also, to Jackie, one thing I'd recommend would be to stress that questions taken directly from the audience really apply to the majority of attendees (i.e. aren't specific to that person's circumstance only) - Chuck mentioned this but regardless a lot of audience members used that time to ask questions that really only applied to them. Also, I would ask him also to mention a quick word about the City of LA business tax issue - I followed their advice regarding that and will be saving a lot of money with very little effort. Considering the amount of money I saved it is probably the highest 'pay' per hour I've saved/earned so far. bookme
