Hi all

I was thinking of having a weekly get together in my place where we can watch movies, or screen your movies, talk, maybe come up with projects, it might end up turning to a place you feel supported and can make new friends in the business.

I can probably have about 30 people in my place (on the terrace) where movies would be projected, and all would have headphones to listen. And we would take turns making food in my humble kitchen.

If I'm not posting this in the right place, please move me to where it's appropriate.

Thanks.
Kam

Hi Kam,
It might be hard to get people to come to your house via an Internet post, but I think your IDEA is wonderful. A supportive group there to help each other out, whether through just hanging out to commiserate or having sessions to PLAN and WORK together on improving all your careers--it's a great idea. Perhaps you want to start with some actor friends or classmates and begin building your group from there. You could take turns scanning the casting sites for each other, subscribe to the trades and share them, give each other the scoop on classes and auditions, etc. A real live version of the chat room we are in...Sounds great!
