Best New Talent Awards--Has anyone had any experience(s) w/ them.

Yes, I was a contestant in 2004. Best New Talent came through to Louisville KY that year, and I auditioned. It was a 3 day process back then. I was accepted, my husband and I decided to give it a shot, and we were very pleasantly surprised with the entire event, which was at the Century Plaza Hotel in LA. It was an incredible experience. I went for contemporary singing, gospel singing and group and got 7 callbacks, includes individual callbacks and group. Oak Records, Jive Records, Gospocentric Records, Who's Harris Entertainment, Bubba Groove Entertainment, and the other 2 are eluding me at the moment. Anyway, I was well on my way at that point, but then my mother in law's health turned for the worse and we decided with a baby on the way we should just not pursue it at the time and spent time with family. She did pass away a couple years ago, so it was the right decision for me. I'm ready to pursue my singing and acting career again now.
