What did you think of the event? Despite the rain and a few hiccups, many people came to the Hammerstein Ballroom and attended the casting calls, workshops and meet-and-greets.

What did you think of the event? Any specific memories that stand out? Any parts you liked, or thought we could do better?

Please let us know here. Thank you!

I'll reply here. I attended and was pretty satisfied with the panel I attended (Getting Cast in Gotham). I didn't learn anything earth shattering but I thought it was worth my 45 dollars.

Now I know a few people who dropped the 45 dollars because they just wanted to go to the Meet and Greet and the drop off boxes and it was required that they purchase a seminar/panel to do so.

I was extremely disappointed with your information booth staff. When I asked if there was a list of the 'Meet and Greet" attendees, the information booth woman shrugged and said, "Who knows, they keep changing it last minute. Besides, some aren't even staying for more than an hour- and we don't even know which hour that is." Now my poor friend had a session which overlapped into half of the Meet and Greet time had no idea who, if anyone, would be still there when she got out of her panel. We decided to go to the Meet and Greet just to see who was there. FIVE PEOPLE????? Ok, maybe there might have been six, but seriously? And the line wrapped around the room. FIVE people, who may or may not have stuck around for the full time advertised to meet and greet....Lets just say we didn't stick around to find out. Also, the drop off boxes were a disappointment. I think I put my headshots into six boxes total. Now, Im not complaining, because I suppose I got my 45 dollars worth, but I am certainly glad I only came from fifteen blocks away. I spoke with a lot of disgruntled folks who took buses and trains from hours away . Their hopes of making good connections were shattered when they saw a two hour line for 5 people. I heard alot of muttering and profanities under their breath. I do hope they speak out and express their disappointment on this forum to help make better changes.

Since posting this, someone emailed me and told me that apparently the meet and greet was limited to only one person. Wow, now I am REALLY glad I did not wait in line.

I think Actorfest is a wonderful idea, but these things should be made known to actors before they pay and or/make the trip.
