Hey everybody,

Have you heard the recent news that Michigan just passed new legislation to allow films to be produced in Michigan at a deep tax break, thereby, attracting film makers to the state?

As a former Detroiter, I am wondering, do I start looking for work back "home"?

And while I'm at it, I might consider buying a house, since the prices are unbelievably low. I could get a 4 bedroom 3 bath, fully loaded, huge house for under $200,000!

Anybody out there from the Michigan?
I would love to chat with fellow working actors about this.

My DS has done a lot of community theatre we are just now trying to branch out. I have heard that Clint Eastwood's latest installment of Dirty Harry is set to be filmed in MI

It is! As well as the new film "Youth in Revolt" with Michael Cera, a new untitled 60s movie, and supposedly a new Lifetime movie will be shooting there. I am very excited, 22 films have applied to film in MI.

I am primarily a Michigander as well.
