Hi everyone:

Some of you may have noticed my recent appearance on the boards, some of you may read my column in the paper or online, and some of you are doubtless saying to yourselves, "Who is this Jackie person and why is she moderating a forum?!"

I am an actor and teacher and I have written "The Working Actor" column since the fabulous Tom Mills retired in 2003. In that time I've learned a lot about the business and I hope I can be of help by sharing what I've discovered. I continue to learn, in my own endeavors, in researching and responding to questions for the column 51 weeks per year, and in reading the posts and responses on this board.

I will never pretend to know everything, but if there's a burning question on here, I will do my best to find an answer. I look forward to relying on some of the board veterans and the collective knowledge of our community as we sort through the complexities of making a career in the entertainment industry. Let's use this forum to tackle the big questions.
