I don't know the agency. But I think it's generally safe to say that if they're booking clients for background work, they don't have a lot of clout in the world of principal roles. You're also correct that agents who are really, legitimately active in the business mostly submit on-line, or, even if they submit by mail, they do so selectively, scouting out the roles their clients are right for. If you're saying they're requesting 15 to 50 headshots a month, I'm guessing they're using the scattershot approach -- submitting everyone for every role. And that doesn't work. Casting Directors tend to avoid working with agents who submit inappropriately. What city is the agency in?
