The Annual Broadway and Off-Broadway Free Flu Shot Program will take place on Thursday, Oct 25 and Friday, Nov 16, 2007 (10:30 am to 3 pm), funded by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by Actor's Equity Association. Volunteer physician services are provided by Physician Volunteers for the Arts (PVA), which was founded in 1997 by Dr. Barry Kohn.

I don't believe in flu shots... well, I believe they exist, I just don't get them.

And I must admit that I did get the flu in 2004... and I had no one to blame but myself (and the massive depression I was going through at the time that lowered my resistance).

The widespread use (and overuse) of vaccines worldwide has been a topic of increasing concern. Add to this condition the looming fears stemming from the misuse and overprescription of antibiotics and you have the recipe for health crises that we are only now beginning to understand (new and uncurable "Super Bugs" are just the tip of the iceberg).

There are many health care professionals who decry their use as "being more of a danger than a help." When I researched much of the easily available literature on the perils of the wholesale injections of vaccines, it literally scared the hell out of me. After learning of the massive amounts of MONEY generated by these new and sometimes largely untested substances, like many of the things being forced upon us daily, it seems more a PROFIT MOTIVATED exercise than a HEALTH motivated one.

As in anything foreign in nature that you are thinking about introducing into your body, just Google the topic and do your due diligence before you start shooting this stuff into your arm -- whether you're a young soldier shipping out to Iraq or taking your dog into the vet for another purposeless and expensive rabies shot, vaccines can have long term side effects that we simply don't yet understand. So do your homework before you decide on using any of these new "cure-alls."

I don't get the flu shot. I understand why some must but for me it's a no go. The last time I got one in about 2000 is when I did get the flu. I haven't gotten one since and I haven't gotten it once.
The flu shot is just a guess anyway. They don't know exactly which strain is going to go around and be the strongest so you can get the flu shot and not be protected at all.
I think only people who are at high risk should get it.

i understand that but they ask & if you do not know, they will not give it to you, i am giving out advice to people here as we all do. No one is claiming to be a doctor. although you seem to give out tons of "Friendly" advice with no jabs at .thanks for that
