I recently moved in with my boyfriend and I now have no problems sleeping. I also like Melatonin. It usually works pretty well. There were times though when I took that and a sleeping pill and still couldn't sleep! Completely nuts! So glad I've been doing better. Still curious about the colonix stuff. anyone else try it? Looks so interesting!

I had trouble with insomnia too, lots of things churning around my mind and keeping me up at night. I started using some stuff from Herbalife (so much so that now i distribute it!) both for insomnia and for umm...cleansing purposes. The "sleep now" pill is awesome. it has melatonin among other natural herbs and all the products for digestion are wonderful--especially the aloe drink! All their stuff is pharmaceutically backed, so 85 percent of whats on the label actually HAS to be in the bottle (unlike over the counter stuff with only has to contain 35 percent!!) Anyways, you can check their stuff out on herbalife.com and if you are interested, I can always ship you some. Best of luck with the insomnia Smiler

Sleep apnea is usually the opposite of insomnia. Sleep apnea patients usually sleep very deeply and have temporary stoppage of breathing, followed by sudden gasps for air as breathing continues, but it doesn't always interrupt the actual sleep cycle.

Something else to try, which was recommended by my doctor, is to take a Benadryl 1/2 hour before going to bed. When I need to, I only take a half of one of the little pink 25mg ones. It works well with no residual effects.

Well then Em, don't take it if you have adverse reactions to it. As with any medication, each person has to use their best judgement, since not everyone reacts the same way to different meds.

I agree with the recommendation of Melatonin. To really sleep like a baby, take it with a capsule of 5-HTP, also available at most vitamine stores. You won't feel groggy in the morning either. Awesome.

I always have this problem. Stress and so many things keep me up tossing and turning all night for weeks.
I've tried things like simple sleep caplets and stuff too, but they don't really work. Most people just tell me to do things to tire myself out. Working out definately helps.
Also, if you're like me and get anxious about everything that you havta do the next day or so, try to write everything down. Scheduling your life makes things a bit easier.

If meditation/yoga/healthy eating/excersise/etc. doesnt work you can try Melatonin. Its much better than other sleep aids because its all natural its something thats in your brain and if you don't produce enough of it you have trouble sleeping. So this give you more. I recommend the highest dosage. The only problem for me is it wears off after about 5 hours and I'll wake up but it says give yourself at least 8 hours before you have to do anything like most sleep aids.
