I recently discovered "Snap on Smile" which is a way cheaper way to brighten and fix your smile without ruining your teeth. It's basically a set of teeth that fit over your teeth and begin naturally at your gumline so they look completely real. I got to choose the size, shape, and color of the teeth and of course they are totally straight.
It took me a day to get used to speaking with them on (sort of like a retainer).
If you go, I recommend bringing a picture of someone's smile who you really like, that will help you choose the shape of the teeth you want.
The orthodontist I used was Dr. Adams in Whittier (562) 698-9715. They gave me a great deal because I had a referral. Feel free to say I referred you if you go for a consult (Marcy Brooks)
Marcy, I'm sure you only registered here to post your ad and to (hopefully) earn some commissions... Anyway..... how much are these "snap on smiles"? What is the price range?
You said they're cheaper than veneers, but you didn't say how much cheaper or how much the typical "snap on" costs.
Thanks

I know I sounded like an ad. I don't get commissions, in fact I haven't talked to the office since getting my snap on. I included my name because I had used someone's name and they gave me a deal.
I think I paid $800 total for my upper, including all impressions and everything, that was in June 2006. Not sure what the price is now, they can tell you over the phone.
I saw this scary documentary (I think on one of the big three ABC, NBC, CBS) about the newest craze of veneers.
Obviously in our industry vanity is everything, and so we bleach our teeth, nip it, suck it, and tuck it to come across as an unrealistic human god.
But in veneers, it's the procedure which looked awful. Dentists drill your actual teeth down do they're like little toothpicks sticking out of your gum. Then they snap or glue or fix on the fake veneer teeth onto your original tooth's remains.
I tried desperately to search for images of mouths with veneers taken off. If you find it, believe me, you will go to the pharmacy, pick up some floss and expensive toothpaste, and call your dentist for some braces.
Post the link to those pix if anyone finds it.
