Well, I am planning to go on a fruit diet plan for about 30 days. This will be a blog on how I do on this, and if people are interested in this diet, so they can see how I did this. I plan on posting every two –three days. Also it includes 30 minutes of exercise daily.
Diet Plan One/two fruit(s) in the morning Some fruit at lunch 350 calories of fruit package for dinner + Protein shake
I am guessing this will be around 800-1000 calories overall, and I know that is on the lower side, but this calorie amount is also consider low-calorie diet (which prevents aging as well). This diet also includes tomatoes, since this are high in antibiotics that will help prevent aging.
The goal: Lose 5-10 pounds, and obtain a leaner body. Lower my body fat.
Why?: I am going to have my Birthday in the Summer, and I need to look a bit better for myself. I also want to look more youthful by doing this type of reverse-aging diet.
I hope this comes of interest for some of you out there.
If it unsuccessful such as starting to feel tired and weak by the tenth day then I am going off it.
If it is a success, then I will continue the diet until I reach a low body fat percentage (12%). And maintain my healthy weight, so I will gradually add lean meat.
hey mystique... i'm totally all over lots of fruit in the diet, but you gotta eat more.
unless you're like 4 foot 8, you need more than 800 to 1000 calories. you'll lose weight for the first few days, but your metabolism will adjust and you'll plateau or even gain weight pretty fast. plus you WILL feel weak by the 10th day with that few calories.
Most people who do this kind of calorie restriction diet take tons of supplements. You are still young and could do long-term damage to your body unless you are getting enough nutrients. BTW, tomatoes don't contain antibiotics. They do contain antioxidants.

the way to lose body fat and get a leaner body is to exercise. you may lose 5-10 pounds on this diet but it will mostly be water weight (not fat), it will screw with your metabolism, and you'll gain it right back once you start eating regularly again.

The problem with this diet (and the thousands like it) is that they are so extreme that no one can ever stay with them, making them in the long run, a total waste of time.
You starve yourself for awhile, then eat yourself into oblivion after you're hit your target weight. That's why "diets" are never totally successful.
You must find a way of eating that you can actually LIVE with, over the long haul. Completely remove the word, "diet" from your vocabulary.
Well the first week or so I did this. Then I went and ate something, breaking it.
This is a failed attempt, kind of embarrass of posting this thread. I guess someone with either more with will power will attempt this or see the possibility of going on a yo-yo trend for a couple weeks. Now that it's summer I am just going to do the exercise part, and forget dieting. I did lost two pounds overall.
Raw food diets can be very healthy. However, you cannot limit your intake of food when all you eat is fruit! What is great about raw food diets is that since you are only eating fruit, you may eat as much as you like. Eat to the point of fullness or be perpetually snacking. Also, instead of eating all your protein concentrated into a shake, spread it throughout the day with raw nuts like almonds or walnuts, a cup of almond milk, or raw seeds. You could also add dried fruit. Some vegetables would be another good addition.
Here is a good resource on how to do this HEALTHILY:
Mystique, I apologize if I have you mixed up with someone else, but aren't you only in your teens? You shouldn't start any extreme diet without talking to your parents and doctor.

Probably not, but I'm turning 17 later this month.
