Ok, so there have been a few threads about teeth. About veneers, or snap ons, all that jazz.
But it's still unclear!
A lot of actors seem to have those perfect teeth, and it's certainly nice to have on screen for close ups. So what does everyone here do to get the teeth they want?
Suggest the best products, whiteners, regimens, WHATEVER it is that works for you!

My teeth aren't horrible looking. They are a bit yellow genetically, and due to coffee. I got a tooth bonding to fix up my gap in the front, and now it's got a little crack, which was due to the dentist not me, so I'm hoping they will fix it when I go in next. I also have really bad genetics (mom has dentures, she's not even 40!, and my dad has gingivitis) and I know I need amazing teeth (or at least it would be an advantage) to be an actor. But unfortunately my parents are pulling their own teeth out in order to attempt to pay for my college, so I just don't think I could afford veneers or other cosmetic surgeries.
Lately I've been very mindful of my teeth, flossing every night, using Rembrandt whitening toothpaste, and brushing 2 times a day. But I was hoping some people had some good advice on what else I could do.
I'm sure I'm not the only one in the boat who's struggling for money, and can't always afford luxuries like cosmetic dentistry.
Any advice!
Thanks Smiler

Crest Whitestrips are great BUT you MUST do the following for maximum results-

Teeth are extremely porous during the process and for about two weeks after SO if you consume dark liquids i.e. red wine, tea, coffee, red sauces on food- the strips simply will not work well. Use a straw if you like or do what I do which is pour my coffee into a sports bottle so I can pour it in my mouth PAST my front teeth. WOW what a difference as opposed to when I bleached them and didn't do any of that. Trust me- you will love me for this advice if you follow these directions!

Use the strongest ones you can buy- the ten day pack.

"A woman, standing nude, looks in the bedroom mirror and says to her husband, "I feel horrible, I look fat and ugly. Pay me a compliment.? Her husband replied, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect." He never heard the shot."

As far as dental work, I know a lot of dental colleges will do work for half the cost of normal dentists. The downside is yo get a student dentist who may or may not be as gentle or savvy as a seasoned pro, and it takes about twice the time. Because, well, they're just not as fast as someone who's been doing it for years. But it's worth it if you're paying out of pocket for these procedures! Good luck!
