Hey Guys,
I'm a singer/actor/dancer and did a show last year were I was on my knees a ton. We all wore knee pads, but just the same I think I did some damage. It was, 6 a week for a month. Anyway, I have kind of let the matter be, but now that I am dancing a lot again, my one knee is really beginning to bother me. Especially when doing ballet/jumping. I kind of can't do the latter w/out feeling it. I'm currently in Chicago, but home is Philly/NYC. Does any one know of any great knee specialists/dance injury places on the east coast? I'll be home in 5 weeks and will just have to deal w/ it until then, but I need to address the problem. Any recommendations would be wonderful.

Thank you so much! Smiler

Grace

I feel your pain, literally.

I tore the hell out of my right miniscus on the move from LA to NY.

I tried yoga but it only seemed to aggravate the condition. Anyone out there tried Pilates for joint injuries?

I'm not sure if they can do anything for you if you have an actual tear or blunt trauma of some kind, but you should look into Gyrokinesis if it is an alignment issue. I am sure there have to be some good people doing that in NYC and Phili.
