I am auditioning for the role of Sheeni for the film "Youth in Revolt;" however I have to audition via video and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to do a video audition. This is my first video audition and I want it to be perfect because I really want the part. Please help!!
Thanks, Erica
Tell me I'll fail, it will only guarantee my success.

hey Well when you do video act as if the camera is the person you are speaking too obviously or if your doing a scene you can have someone read with you. They dont have to be a great read (make sure they are off camera)!!! You lkknow what helps go to youtube and search audtions like "instant star audition" theres like 7 takes of the same video audtion! hope this helps ...also can you possibly copy and paste the casting notices to me as a PM (private message)if you don't mind. Hope my advice works!!!! good luck

I am not an expert on this by any means, but i suggest that you pay attention to lighting and sound. I would buy a nice "shotgun microphone" if you can afford it. Video is all about sight (good lighting) and sound (good mic)...start by slating your name (someone can probably tell you how to slate better than me) and go for it...have fun and good luck!
