It's Wednesday and I went to an audition today in Brooklyn, I live 2 hours away and the casting person confirmed with me the date and time, I get there and no one is there. I saw a sign on the door that listed the audition and said "write your name and wait in the lobby" So I did, no one came 40 mins past. Luckily, there was a nice older woman that helped and the security guard reached the man that was holding the audition, he said someone was suppose to call us the night before because the auditions were postponed later in the week in Mahanttan. I wanted to die!!!
I live far 2 hours away and the way the economy is right now I can't throw all of my money away on gas. I love acting, I love auditioning and I know in this business expect the unexpected, but that was purely unprofessional. When the security guard called the guy, he didn't want to talk to me and tell me at least that he is sorry. He also said, if we were still interested we can email him and he will tell us where the new location is. No WAY!!! Oh did I mentioned I had my kids with me, my daughter is old enough to watch my son plus the place was large enough to have the audition in another room so I didn't think it was a problem.
