Generally no. Practice on your own. That is why it's a monologue. Create that person and say the lines to them.

practice in front of a mirror, or in front of a friend or loved one. you've gotta get comfortable doing it in front of people and the best way is to start with people you know. They can laugh at you without hurting your feelings. lol. once you've done it enough times, no one will be laughing.
