could anyone offer any advice on what my 11 year old daughter should wear to an interview with talent manager also they want her to sing a song for them she has a very strong voice can sing strong pop songs(christina Aguleira, Alicia Keys) also is very good with musical theater songs( Hairspray, Follies) etc. which would be a better choice any info would be greatly appreciated. Wants to show off her voice but also wants to show off her personality Thanks.

I think what's important is that you know exactly what your daughter is going in for. Is it theatre or pop? I would recommend being prepared on both levels. A commercial agent would not handle your daughters theatre auditions and vice versa, however, you may be "floated" around the agency and introduced to several agents that handle different things.

I would recommend being prepared for everything your daughter is comfortable with.

As far as what she should wear... make sure she looks her age. Don't get "done up" just be a young girl. Be as "real" as you possibly can.

As far as singing - make sure the song is age appropriate. Have 2 contrasting songs prepared - uptempo and ballad - which show range. Chose songs that she is very comfortable with, this can be a stressful situation, it's not the time for something new.

Depending on where she is going, she may be asked to sing a Capella.
