Actually my daughter is similar in age and height. We're wondering about going too. Anybody know anything?

My daughter just went through the auditions and callbacks for Mary Poppins, so I can tell you with that show the height limit on Jane Banks is 58". I know that's the limit for Annie as well (not a Disney prod). If you do a search of these boards I bet you can find out more on heights, etc for other shows/characters.

Yeah, this was talked about on another board... as far as I know, girls at the children's EPAs would be seen only for the roles of Jane Banks in Mary Poppins and Young Nala in The Lion King, and both of those roles have a maximum height of 4'10". They're also casting for the High School Musical nat'l tour, but from what I know of the current cast, it's almost all older actors playing high schoolers (mostly around the 20-25 age range, it looks like).

So... not to bust any bubbles, but it probably wouldn't be that much to your advantage to go if you're looking just to get cast. HOWEVER, there will be reps there from three major casting companies (Telsey, Tara Rubin and Binder), so if you go and get a chance to be seen, or even just to fork over your headshot and resume, that might be a great opportunity to kill three big-name birds with one stone. So depending on how easy it would be for you to get to the auditions (as I see you're in Florida), you still might consider it. Up to you. Hope that helps!

Does anyone know if non equity children can still audition for this on June 14th in NYC? Isn't there a list you get on early for non equity kids?

i have to agree with kinnigets. i was just thinking about whether to go to just the adult or the kid and the adult. i am not 15, but i play 15, and i'm the same height as you.

the kids in these shows are shorter than you, and HSM is all adults.

you can show up early on the adult day and sign up, but i can almost promise it will be a busy bee kind of day, but it can't hurt to try!
