Hello everyone, My son is new to this and I just have a quick question. Hoping one of you can help me. There is a commerical that he is appropriate for and I submitted his info through NYCasting. The auditions are mon afternoon 6/15 but the project said it would take submissions as early as the morning of the audition. I submitted his info on sat. morning 6/13 and have heard nothing. That is fine but im also wondering if the CD's will wait till the morning of the audition to let me know if he made it. Can anyone help me understand how this works. I live in Philly so it may be hard for me to be in the city if I get notice at the last minute. Thanks!

If you haven't heard yet I very much doubt that you will hear at this point. I think they often only look at the first day of submissions, as long as they get enough talent applying that first day to fill up their audition spots. I think the exception to this is if they are looking for a rare talent (like 3 year old identical twins boys with red curly hair), or doing a huge search and then a last minute submission would not be excluded. However, it is true that if you have an agent or manager, they can and do call you in for auditions/go-sees the same day.
