Hello again, everyone . I just received an audition slot for my first Los Angeles audition with The Underground Theatre (located somewhere in Hollywood, I believe). They are an AEA house, but this production is non-union. Their website is bleak, to say the least. Anyone ever worked with them? Seen a production? They specialize in original work and the project seems neat, I'm just curious what their reputation is. Thanks!

Anyone? Is there anyone going to the auditions this weekend? I feel like I have new poster-itis and people are staying clear of my posts, haha.

Any info at all would be helpful.

To be honest, I've never heard of them and I'm one of the few agents in town who go to the theater on a semi regular basis.

It also concerns me that they claim to be an Equity house but they're doing a non-union production. That doesn't make sense. You might want to look into that.

Hm, maybe I am mistaken. But I went and it was ok. Very small theatre, so maybe it isn't equity. I could have sworn on the casting call it mentioned something about it. Nice to hear agents still make trips to the theatre! I heard that was a rarity these days...
