I was recently told of a report about safety on cruise ships. I think the bottom line of the segment was that some employees are hired quickly various ports with no background checks, ect. I was wondering, to those of you who HAVE worked at sea, did you feel safe in your work enviroment, in regards to your ship mates and the areas you had to perform in? (I obviously have never worked at sea, so I was just wondering!

I worked in the corporate offices for Princess Cruises for 2 years and all crew required background checks. I also worked for years on ships as a singer and never had a negative incident.
