Okay, just out of curiousity, what's the most number of auditions you went on without booking a job? My friend booked a one liner in a SAG full budget after seven auditions and now he is discouraged because he has been on 30 auditions without booking anything. Is that good or bad for him in terms of numbers. He has only been acting for about a year. What should I tell him?

I've never actually counted, but I've had cold streaks to be sure. But then I've also had streaks in which I book everything... so tell your friend to keep at it and things will turn around.

I don't think that is bad at all. I know plenty of people who have auditioned well above that number before landing a job.
If this is a concern of his perhaps he should have someone come with him to an audition. Someone who can see if he was doing something he could work on. Someone who knows about the business.
