My ds made it to the final 3 boys in this round,
but didn't get an offer. My understanding is one of the three boys got an offer for training.
It was tough to come sooo close!! We knew Trevor from Mermaid was training can't wait to see him as "Michael". He was great as Flounder!

Do you know who got the offer - name, age, look, location? I know of someone that seemed to be close, but haven't heard the outcome yet.

I talked to someone today that works with one of the girls. She said she been seen three times and is just waiting to hear now. She said it was for the part Debbie.

Just found this site so I'm new here. I have a son who is 10 we want to bring to the next open call in NY. Our friends son was at the callbacks in July but never heard anything. They think maybe he's too tall? My son is 56" already, is that too tall? I saw you made it to the final 3 Kelly, that is so wonderful, how tall is your son? I think my son is pretty tall at 56" for a 10 year old. That must be pretty frustrating to get to the final 3 and get cut, but how wonderful and proud you must be! Maybe they will still call him back for the next round. Our friends said they know someone called back 5 times already! So you never know...maybe waiting for him to be the right size too Red Face)

Does anyone know why, for the part of the ballet girls, they are saying under 4'10" does that mean they want to eventually have every ballet girl under that height or could that mean they have too many tall girls. I want to go audition next time there is an open call but i am 5'1"

I had a similar question because my son is 4'11" and we were considering going to the Chicago open call. You can send an e-mail to casting@bebilly.com, and they will answer your question. I sent an e-mail and received a response right away, and yes,he is too tall to be considered. It may be different for the girls.

I also have a friend with 2 girls who were in the July set of auditions and callbacks. I don't know what the max height was but they said each role they were looking to fill was height specific, so if they were looking for 4'7" they would not take 4'9". I am surprised it is that exact, by the time someone 4'7" is ready for the stage they can have a growth spurt.

My son was also at those callbacks in July. The casting director said something about height making a difference. We didn't get another callback, I wasn't sure if my son was too tall/too small, or they just preferred the others. Some of the vocals were amazing from what we heard! So if we didn't get to the next round this time, does that mean they will never call again? Sorry if that is a dumb question, but this was our first audition and I'm not really sure of the process. Thanks for the help, we figured no news was bad news, but didn't know if that meant the end of the line for this one.

I believe one of the regular ballet girls moved into the Debbie role, and a girl was hired to replace her.
