Yes, I read about Rapunzel and Tiana awhile ago. One of my favorite actors is actually voicing the "young prince" in Rapunzel. He's from the show Criminal Minds, and his name is Matthew Gray Gubler. I just wish that Disney would continue to make more of the classic animated movies. Yes, "Rapunzel" and "The Princess and the Frog" are coming out, but because the lead animation director came from Pixar, most of the movies are in 3D. Not that they're not good, I just love the old classics. Anyway, this post is about Disney Channel Auditions. Has anyone managed to get an audition recently for the Disney Channel shows? Through agents or through yourselves? I know its hard to get in with them without an agent.

SparklingAriel, I would just like to point out that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were working children. Also they went to the Disney open calls and thats how they got picked up by disney. Selena Gomez has done sooo many pilot tv shows for disney that never got picked up. While waiting to see if any of the shows she did the pilots for got picked up disney kept her busy by putting her on Zach and Cody and Hannah Montana untill Wizards was picked up. As for the Nick kids not working for Disney and Vise versa Ive seen many kids work on disney that worked on nick. Victoria justice( zoey 101, zack and cody), The kid that plays Dean on wizards was in an episode of Icarly he fenced Freddie, The blonde boy who dated zoey on zoey101 in the newest season was on an episode of Hannah Montana. Thats all I can think of for now. But yeah just wanted to point that out. Shoot for the stars no matter how far.

NickJ'sgirl, I understand that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were working children, but I was just trying to make a point that they did not have too much LEGIT experience before getting their big breaks. I know they both did a lot of commercial work and they both did Barney when they were younger, but they seem to have made it big without a long resume of legit work. The reason I'm pointing this out is to showcase the fact that some people say a theatrical agent will not consider you without a lot of TV/film credits, but I see that actors have been given a chance at TV/film without extensive resumes. Thank you for the information on how they got in with Disney. Thank you also on the information about kids working for both Disney and Nickelodean, but some members on here said that a lot of the Disney and Nick shows ran under AFTRA contract, so there were no work/contract conflicts for these actors when it came to working for both channels. If anyone else has more information, please share.

I'm just curious..did anyone get a callback from any of the casting directors for this, yet? How to open auditions like this usually work? I've never done an open audition before but it kind of seemed like this one died off..lol
