Hi
I wanted to attend this open casting call because it is supposedly for a feature film in Ohio. I was wondering if a casting company/director asks for the talent to bring costume changes is that legit? It is an open casting call so how does a director have time to see females/males change into 4 different outfits. It seemed strange to me.

Thanks!

i agree ... seems odd to me too. my ds has auditioned for a number of feature films and has NEVER been asked to bring anything that seems like a costume. let alone a change?

weird ... do you have an agent/manager? if so, check this out.

Maybe check with the film commission in Columbus? They cover Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus.

There was nothing on the film commission.
What I did find out is the casting director owns a cafe and just started his own film company a month ago.

Sounds like a total no budget independent film to me... sounds like part of their decision about who they are going to cast will be based on the clothes you own. Are they offering any pay? (my guess is no).

I have a production company... that doesn’t mean anything I make will be "theatrical".

The webste I found the casting info is killerbmovies.com
And in a email this film company said it was assoicated with "Lionsgate Films" which I thought was great to have a big budget film being made in Ohio.
I think it might be a scam.

It said in the description a Horror feature length film and there is graphic violence and nudity which I would not do anyway.
And for one of the costumes to bring a bikini or undergarments to show off the body. It is the director's first time making a movie.

Thank you all for the advice.

it's possible that they plan on selecting some people on the spot and want you to be ready to show them how you look in different outfits.

It says KILLER B movies..of course they are very low budget b movies...

Low budget movies try to shave expense where they can.. wardrobe is one area.

Lionsgate probably has or has indicated a willingness to distribute or by the finished product.. they buy a fair number of direct to DVD low budget horror films...
