I had my first film audition Saturday. I was really nervous, but I did okay. I was asked to read opposite a man who was probably around 21 or 22 and I am 16 (17 on Friday) and the screenplay said that we had to kiss at the end of the scene, but we didn't. It was kind of awkward, but the director told me we didn't have to do it for the auditions. The actor who will actually be playing the part is more my age so it won't be as awkward. I am just nervous that my nervousness may have hurt my performance too much. I find out today if I got the part and we will be filming in June. It is only a small part, but I am just trying to build up my credits.
Tell me I'll fail, it will only guarantee my success.

Do they know how old you are? what did your parents think about this--did you read the script? If anyone at any time intimated that you should be kissing a man at your audition, you need to tell your parents and run immediately. If you don't feel comfortable kissing a stranger, why are you accepting this role?

Yes they know how old I am. I think I may have misworded the last post. They told me that I did not need to do the kiss for the audition because the guy was just a stand-in that was reading opposite me. The actual actor who will be playing the role is my age. She isn't sure whether she is going to be keeping it in the script though.
