Okay here's the real deal from a current student. None of us have much money to spend on classes, let alone $650. I'm telling you, this class is more worth it than you can imagine. My first job after taking it, I booked. Maybe coincendence, or probably not. It's fantastic. If you are not experienced enough, or you just do not want to go strait to MArgie's weekend intensive, them you acn take a different calss. Begining or intermediate. Although I've heard great things about all of the teachers, I took class with Annie Grindlay as well. Not only do I LOVE her and the way she teaches, I read in an industry book that she is one of the most highly regarded audition coaches to have on your resume.
I love sharing info, but this class is so great I almost don't want to tell people. Those who haven't taken it are sitting ducks to those that have. If you have the money...spend.

Is this for theatrical or commercial? I've never paid more than 300 for a class. I think my cash is better spent on headshots, gas, and getting representation.
I think it's more important to get out there and auditioning before paying all that cash for a private class. My theater lab from East LA City College($96 for 15 weeks! what a deal!) got me roles in 4 plays IN A ROW right afterward. I taped myself during every class, reviewed the tape, and corrected my mistakes. Commercially, I've just finished a class with Mike Pointer here in LA, and I'm looking forward to the results. I paid $220 for it for 4 weeks ( a total of 16 hours of instruction).
I don't see a point in paying all that much for an acting class. Period. The proof is in the pudding. Acting coaches know 80% of their class won't go far acting, not for want of skill, but for lack of confidence, a good headshot, or ambition -- 3 things you can't get from an acting coach, they're internal, within the actor him or herself.
If you think you can buy confidence and experience in 2 sessions, in a single weekend, for $650, go right ahead. (FYI, she doesn't allow people to video tape the 'weekend intensive' to take home and study. For $650, that seems a bit ridiculous.) I just think people should get feet to the pavement, submit, audition as much as possible, and get representation. The class helps, but there are better options with more feedback available to you, especially in Los Angeles.
