Curious about the experience of being on this non-union tour. Seems that they do a lot of moving around.
If you don't actually play Annie - is it worth it? Do casting directors view these non-equity tours favorably?
Was in a conversation with a parent whose kid did a different tour. The kid had a great time but the parents experience was horrible. And they barely broke even - mostly because the parents had to juggle their own schedules. McDonald's every day. Many different cities. Poorly supervised kids. No bathroom on the bus. Months of missing audition opportunities in NYC. Etc.
If your based in the NYC area, is it better to stay put? I can see if your from Ohio and there aren't that many opportunities.
