Wow, what brought that statement? Soli, it would appear that "Drama Diva" is the poster and DD stands for "Dear Daughter". Similarly DH is "Dear Husband", DS would be "Dear Son" etc. Seriously, is there really a need to use these boards to be snippy to people?

..anyway do you think the slow down is because of the upcoming Holidays or the simple cost factors that goes into putting up a play (I'm referring to the $$$ of producing and putting up off-off plays..much less high budget venues)

Not sure if you were kidding or not, but DD and DS are simply the abbreviations that parents of child actors use to protect the identity of their children on the web.

You know what, you guys are right. I am sorry Drama Diva- that was uncalled for.

I seriously thought you were calling your own child that and thought it was very ignorant if you did. Still, I shouldn't have blasted you for it. So my apologies. Sometimes I write what I feel and by the time I want to take it back the board won't let me edit it.

I sometimes see other sites and wonder is it worth it to register ($$$) on them..are casting notices listed in multiple sites...have you ever found that the same notices is listed on another site or not?

But why would casting be slow for non-union films/ plays and student films..Alot of us are seeing a slow down in that area as well.

I will as well Drama Diva. I do think the holidays is having a lot to do with it. When I was on set yesterday (just doing Extra work) a lot of people, including more than the Extra's were saying how the holidays seem to be very busy this year and are slowing things down.

maybe I'll utilize this slow down time and take some classes in something I need to improve in like my cold reading skills.

We've had nothing for the last 2 or 3 weeks. My daughter finally has an audition today, but I have been enjoying my down time.

I've been using some of my down time to do some writing and catch up on reading. So it's good.
