I'm not an actor, I'm an aspiring stagemom to a 19 month old, but I found myself on camera for 3 minutes "auditioning." How scary!
It was for standup2cancer and is unpaid (I'm a cancer survivor). Anyway, I left feeling like, "What happened? I was blathering on and on. Of course they'll never pick me. Why didn't I prepare more?" I was concentrating so much on getting to the studio I neglected to consider the fact that I should think about what to say once there. LOL!
Anyway, hats off to all of you who audition for real.

I'm glad to hear a success story to cancer. My dad was not that lucky (lung caner 2007) that was the worst year of my life. If you end up auditoning for real let us know and we'll be happy to help. Best of luck.
PS. I love your quote by C.S. Lewis
I'd rather die than live 1 day knowing that I gave up.
