Anyone going to this call tomorrow for 'Susan Waverly'? I don't know much about the character..how big or small her role is in the show. Clips don't show much of her.

We went yesterday. Surprisingly, there were not many girls there (about 35). I believe at least some girls were given callbacks then for next week (my DD did not get one). Good luck to all of the girls that did get callbacks-- would love to hear from any of them. Trying to figure out if it was the strong belt voice that was the key...

Seems they emphasizing that strong belt in the casting call..that's about the only thing DD had going for her..also heard they type cast small blonde girls, so we would have been cut before DD even opened her mouth..decided not to make the 2 hour trip for this one for that as well as other reasons (not well prepared, dd's heart wasn't really in it anyway, etc.)..GL to all who did auditioned!..Looks like a very fun show!!!

Interesting...we expected that they were looking for small girls but would not have made the trip if we'd known there was a preference for blondes. Oh well-- congrats again to the girls that got callbacks!

As a matter of fact, if you look at the old casts, most of the girls were brunettes and long hair. I don't think hair color has anything to do with this casting. GL to all.

I stand corrected..just googled several of the past actresses to play the role & all had brown hair! I only heard this through the grapevine but also remembered seeing several resumes/headshots of girls with the credit who fit that type about a year ago. You really never know what type they are looking to cast for almost any role..at any given moment in time, particularly for newer shows.
