I recently checked the actors equity website, and there is a les miserables call, which i have some (probably pointless) questions about. I am new to this buisiness, and am unsure of what some terms on that site mean. (newbie=clueless)The call type is Non-required chorus, which i think means you don't need to be equity, but what is chorus??? And if in the breakdown, it says Young Cosette 9-13, is it appropriate for a small 14 year old to audition? And lastly, what to do if you don't have a picture/resume?

Take a nice close up color photo of your daughter to the photo center and have a 8 x 10 printed up... or by the copy center and have one enlarged. To make a resume... just put all her information on a 8x10 (usually have to cut it down to that). Name...contact # ht...wt...hair color... eye...color... vocal range... and any experience shes had... be it in school productions or community prod. List her Skills... dance, voice, accents, and training. Then attach that to the back of the photo with staples... not paper clips. Chorus is ensemble... not a lead. If your daughter is a small 14, definitely take her... they don't usually ask the age. Sometimes they do have a height requirement so be mindful of that. If you have more questions... just ask. Break a Leg!

thanks so much joshua11! it does say in the breakdown Ensemble: singers who move well, auditioning performers may be considered for the following roles...etc, and young cosette is listed. so i would just like to clarify, would she be the only child there, if this is mainly for ensemble? here's the link.

How strange..... i just reread the link I posted, and it seems to be an audition for a theater in South Carolina. Why would they hold auditions in New York????
