My friend's son booked one of the two "other boy" roles. I believe he booked the "taller" role the two, he is still quite small though. From what his family has been told they are planning to continue grooming him for a future Billy replacement. He has already made the move to New York.

it is interesting how they are casting this....as my son is only 7 i am assuming they will have 2 to 3 "little boy"roles..or am i wrong? Or maybe 2 like snow just said....who knows...and i guess they want kids in the pipeline for this as well.

My friend told us they were casting for "two" separate ensemble boy roles, one "taller" boy and one "smaller" boy besides the Billy and Michael roles. I am fairly positive my friend's son was cast as the “taller” of the two roles. If your son is only 7, I would assume he is up for the "smaller" of the two boys.
I am sorry if my post confused you.

My friend’s son made it to the very end of the Billy/Michael auditions but he is still a bit young and small for the Billy role. It seems they want to keep him around and groom him for a bigger role at a later date so they offered him one of the ensemble boy roles.

Thanks for the insight. yes my son is 47 inches and the cut off for the part he is callback for is 48 inches. It says on the cb for "young boy" role. i will keep you posted after the audition.

anyway "little boy"role 2 groups of 7 went in they kept 2 from the first group and the rest were cut. I dont know about the 2nd group...but i will keep you guys posted if anything further comes of this. also the had 3 studios reserved for the whole day. The little boys were there early so it looks like they have alot of cb's left to do!

sorry me and my ramblings...yes he was cut for today but nora said she wasnt sure what the intention was from the director. I am sure i will get feedback from his agent as we did about my daughter(who was cut at top 100)

BE seems to have rooms at Chelsea booked semi-permanently - every time we've been there since December up until 2 weeks ago, they have had at least a couple of rooms. They are definitely already rehearsing the Billys, but who knows who else? I haven't heard of any adult casting yet, but there were adults in the PR photos from last week, weren't there?

You'vegotafriend, what happened at the Debbie calls 4/30? Are they still looking?

curious if contracts have gone out yet for the kids?

Tuff - not sure what happened - they saw approx. 8 more girls and kept 3 girls...but apparently more were being seen the next day or so. I don't know anyone else in the mix anymore so I'm out of information. LOL I can't wait to hear the whole cast list - this has been a very interesting process.
