Most of casting is about the specific type the casting people already have in their minds. You may have done a great job but not been quite what they were looking for. Don't worry about it! You can never take auditions personally. The good thing is that if they liked you and you did a good job, they will likely keep you on file for other projects they are casting, or they will pass your info onto friends who are casting something you might be right for.

Leave the audition at the door when you leave. Otherwise you'll just worry yourself and question yourself causing a lot of unnecessary stress. If you're the right person for the role you'll get cast...if you're not you won't. Keep submitting and keep auditioning. I don't know where you are located but there is more than just backstage as far as submitting.
