Hello Backstage! This is a headshot that was taken last year by a friend. I'm saving up for some new ones but just wondering if this will work in the meantime... Would love some feedback! Thanks!

No it won't. Tell me how many great headshots you see with shadows all over the face. If you must use a non-pro shot, at least light up your face correctly. You are competing with 10,000's of people who CAN afford the very best.

I think miss stone is just jealous that you are pretty. If you are sending this to agents I am sure a little retouching on the shadows will make this a beter quality pic. p.s. you look a little like lindsay lohan.

You have an amazing great look ... pretty, warm, friendly, open. All these qualities come through in this photograph. So, while I agree it needs some improvements (some of which could be done in PS now), if you absolutely can not afford new ones, go ahead and give this one a try.

EDITED. My husband just gave me some excellent advice.

I think this headshot will work just fine for you.
It is very natural. You are effortlessly pretty.
Shadows don't bother me a bit.
Sure you could take new ones and possibly achieve something more striking with a more interesting background, but until then you could definitely work with these.
