The second. The first just looks like any old photo. The second is better and shows you off more. That's a great color for you, too!

The 2nd one has great energy. Very natural and inviting.

The 1st is a little boring and the 3rd is a little over the top.

Don't use any of these for commercial print, Patrick.

They're obviously snapshots and not acceptable for professional submissions.

Also, Rule Number One: NEVER, EVER USE ANOTHER PERSON IN YOUR PHOTOS!!! Unless you're Siamese twins, not only does this this totally distract from you, but it is inevitably the other person who gets the job. Same with using dogs or children.

Uh no these were done professionally and robert i have always heard getting another model in pics shows you work well with others so i have heard totally different from what you have heard and these are not snap shots these were taken professioanlly.Actually there are different schools of thought on the matter of having other models in your pics but for me it has worked in the past so i must respectfully disagree with you.

I like the second one, since the focus is on you. The woman on your back is more like a fashion accessory.

I have a personality. Don't care if it's a fallacy.

If you have to use another person in your photo, make sure that their face ISN'T IN DIRECT COMPETITION WITH YOURS.

In these three examples, your friend is looking directly into the camera lens, in essence, you're sharing the spotlight with someone who is supposed to be supporting you, not stealing the scene.

You can use models, but correct usage means "cheating" their look away from the camera, interacting with you to help support the action, without becoming center stage.

Anything can effectively be employed in a photograph, but you have to first understand the rules.

Patrick, I agree with everything Robert is saying. Are there any images from the shoot where she isn't sharing the attention? Your shirt is also too wrinkled in these images. You obviously didn't use a stylist, which is one of the reasons this doesn't look like a professional shoot.

When I first saw the pics, I have to say I was confused as I could not think what you wanted to use them for? Now I understand and have to agree with Headshots Only and Robert.

Hi Patrick,

If you must make a decision on the three you've posted... I would go with the second picture.

My reason... it's a closer shot of you. It's commercial, friendly and there is a nice interaction between you and the girl. I could see this picture in a print campaign...

However I really like the life and energy you've brought to the third. Overall they put a smile on my face. Just my personal thoughts. Wink

For COMMERCIAL PRINT shots involving couples, you should have your partner NOT directly facing the camera but YOU are.
