I hope you don't mean you are going to use snapshots you take. And no glossy Kodak crap you buy at Best Buy. Get nice reproductions done by a company like Reproductions. It's cheaper anyway as when you do it yourself you use a lot of ink etc and it would get super costly. And you're new. You should not even be looking for an agent yet. You are not ready and frankly, they wouldn't want you at this stage unless you are SUPER hot. Don't put the cart before the horse. You need to get some classes, a reel, on camera experience and so on first. Get some books on acting, read this forum well and got to Actor's Access/Showfax and read ALL the columns over there written by actual casting directors.

thanks!!! I have been getting a lot of good advice on here. i"m only 21 and i think i'm going to go back to school take classes more classes first and then sign up.

I meant when i take professional pictures(they only give you about 2) and when you then want to send out to a bunch of agents and if you make copies do you think they look on the back and care if if it says kodak?

It's not that. Glossy is not as flattering or industry standard. Get them reproduced professionally on the right paper. Do it right. That Kodak crap is flimsy. Trust me, it will be cheaper the right way. Plus, the printers they use are properly cailbrated to bring out the right tones in your headshot. Do you know how to calibrate yours? Is it top quality? Where will you get the lustre paper which everyone uses? Can you afford to keep buying ink cartidges? I know you are a beginner but it is very important to get in the habit of doing things RIGHT from the get go. It's too competitive to settle and say "that'll do" about anything. For every half hearted effort out there there are a thousand that DO do it right. Dig?

You can get shots reproduced for $100 or so. If that's alot and you can't afford it, you need to wait until you can. Please REALLY shop around before you choose a photographer too.

Exactly. They use, like I said, LUSTRE. NO glossy. Glossy is glossy, matte is matte. Not shiny. Like lipstick. You don't want either. They will tell you which to use. Want prices? Go and look online. I ain't doing everything!!

sorry, I didnt mean to be rude but miss stone is giving you lots of advice and all you seemed to care about is gloss.

Gloss means its shiny, matte means it's not. Mine seem to be somewhere in between. But no one needs super shiny photos.

The more you read, the less you will need to ask. That's how I learned.
