I've been a member of this forum for a while now, I'm one of those people who read alot, and tend not to comment much.
But today that going to change, I've finally gotten headshots, courtesy of Robert Kazandjian, who by the way is one of the best photographers I've ever had the pleasure to work with.
But I'll save the babble, Here are my 5 favoraites, I really want to use the first 4 for submissions, does anyone know if it would seem strange to include 4? I hear the norm is 2.
Please let me know which 2 from 1-4 look best for theatrical
Anyways, here they are
1)
2)
3)
4)

commercial
thanks guys!

I like pic 4 the best out of the theatrical shots although maybe there's too much black? I'll let someone who knows more about headshots to comment on that aspect but it was the shot I liked because of your expression in it.

I usually hate black on black... but I think 4 is beautiful!
This could be an exception to the rule. You really have an intensity there, but a friendly one. Though if you could I'd photoshop it so your shirt is a little lighter, like grey. That way it'll be less noticable.

I LOVE No. 2! Your eyes connect so much with the viewer, and that mischievous smile really sells it for me. So much personality in that picture - it's definitely my favorite!

I really like 3 - I think it gives you a more versatile look than some of the others. Would be great for dark leading man roles, hipster/rocker roles, and it gives you a very European look. Good luck!

Of the original four that you posted, I like 2 and 4. The angle of your head in the frame on 1 is really a deal breaker for me there, I don't care for the shirt or the facial hair on 3.
Between 2 and 4, I guess I like 2 better - it is, as another poster has said, a very engaging and interesting shot. I wish your shirt were a little less busy, but I think you can get away with it. 4 is basically a glamour shot. It looks good, and you look good in it, but the lack of separation between you and the background makes it a bit tough.
Don't like the first 'commercial' shot you posted at all. Looks like the focus was missed.
I actually like the last 2 shots you put up as commercial shots quite a bit, although you should probably get the hair that is sticking up photoshopped out. In fact, I think you could very easily use one of these shots as a theatrical shot.
Overall I think these are some nice photos. If you're still stumped about what to go with, maybe take a day or two off, then go back to your proofs and have another look.
