I've chosen two shot as my primary headshots but I want to choose a different pose for my business card. I'm not sure which of the following on this website to choose:

Does anyone have any advise on what on what I should keep in mind to make this decision easier?

I would really appreciate any and all comments.

Thank you!!

Hi, Evelyn. This is a great question! Actually, my recommendation is to use one of your primary headshots for your business card, as well as your other materials (postcard, website, etc.) Think of your headshot as the logo for your business- your goal is to have your "logo" in front of as many people as possible, as often as possible, so that you become more instantly recognizable. If you use a different photos, the people you pass them out to may not connect the "business card-You" with the "headshot-You" that walks into the audition room.

Let me give you an example- imagine if Starbucks used different logos in their newspaper ads, and they also had a different logo on their cups, and a 3rd logo on their front door. You might notice all of these logos, but you may not make the connection that they all belong to the same company. If Starbucks advertises, but you don't connect the ad with the store you are walking by, how useful is that advertising? So, to take full advantage of marketing, companies choose one logo and put it on everything. I think that actors could really benefit from using the same strategy.

If you still want to use a different photo, my recommendation would be to pick something that really shows a positive side of your personality- something fun and vibrant which would make people says, "Hey- she looks like someone I would want to work with!" You could also consider putting your main headshot on the front, and print a fun shot on the back of the card, which will be a nice surprise for the person receiving it.

I hope this is useful to you- best of luck to you with the selection process!
