Hi! I have been a member of backstage for awhile, and have always looked over the forum for advice, but never posted. I finally decided to post, and thought it'd be best to start with a headshot!

I didn't really have to look at it. At first glance those eyes tripped me out. It is an effect used in photoshop that they have applied to his eyes. Someone did it to mine years ago and I made them remove it. It creates the effect of doll's eyes. It can be removed very easily. There is a certain way to highlight eyes to enhance them and make them look real and there is a quick and lazy way which is far less effective and more artificial looking. The retoucher in this case chose the latter.

Those eyes are manufactured in photoshop. They make you look inhuman. You have a great look, and probably have great eyes --leave them alone.

OMG I am terrified; it's like I see your soul!

Beside your eyes everything else looks okay.

hah no those ARE my actual eyes. In the raw photos to the finished product my eyes were not changed. I have extremely blue eyes and in the combination of natural light/studio light this is the color they took.

hotpatrick- Natalie Young was the photographer

The catchlights looks like either a ringlight or the photog was standing infront of a large softbox or light source.

She didn't have to tell me anything?
First, I know what my eyes look like pretttyyy well. And if she had decided to do anything to them, I don't think she would've taken the time to photoshop every single image in a 150+ gallery.
=)

dadinwestchester-hmm I'm not sure about those things, that's all a bit technical for me.

You're getting a little defensive... calm down. It's like I can see you snapping your fingers at us, and head shaking and saying "Oh no they didn't"
