I posted a photo album but I am not sure that was the right way to get feedback for my daughter's headshot so I am trying it this way also. I am new here so thanks for your patience. Any feedback on which legit and/or commercial headshot to use would be very helpful.

These are definitely usable. Your daughter is really pretty! Smiler They all look theatrical to me. For commercial they like to see a smiling shot with teeth showing. The only thing I'm not too sure about with these shots is, IMO, her eyes aren't connecting that well except for the last headshot.

Thanks for your reply and feedback. It is appreciated! They are the theatrical ones we are choosing from. I am going to post her commercial options now. Still trying to figure this all out-

I think them a little dark so with a little lightening in Photoshop they could be fine. Pretty girl.

Also, the word is not "legit" shot (where does everyone get that from), the word is "theatrical" shot.

It's important to now the language of the business.

Good luck.

Thank you- they haven't been retouched yet so I think the lighting can be fixed-
Her acting coach uses the term- I obviously need to do some more reading and get familiar with the terminology- lol!
Miss Stone, do you have a favorite of these?

Ms. Stone,

I'd bet your pet monkey that you are on the West Coast.

When I shot in L.A. the term was "theatrical" but now shooting on the East Coast the acceptable term is "Legit" as well as "Theatrical".

Although I hear the term "Legit" used 99% of the time.

LOL!!! Big Grin Correct, Ron. I am indeed from closer to the Pacific.

Rebecca, I like the third one best as it shows her as more youthful(which she is), due to the pink top. The first one is almost sexy and that would be fine if she was 20. She also appears a little older in those shots. You want to capitalize on that wonderful gift of youth while you can, you know? Thus the third one is the best. I would like to see a smiling one in the pink top as it is a nice color for commercial use.

These are clearly all legit headshots. No commercial looks are represented.

I like these.

I prefer the first for your primary shot, it has a combination youthful-yet-sultry attitude that I find appealing.

On the second, her chin is dropped a bit, which makes the face appear rounder.

The third is the most "in your face" of all. Definitely your "edgy" look, more confrontational in attitude.

I like the third as well. I think that the way her body is leaning against the wall in the first two is a little bit awkward. Beautiful girl!
